Kamdhenu is the divine cow goddess, known as the mother of all cattle. She is believed to have emerged during the Samudra Manthan, the churning of the ocean of milk by the Devas (demi-gods) and Asuras (demons).

• After her emergence, Kamdhenu was given to the Saptarishis (the seven sages) to provide milk and ghee for holy yagnas (ritual sacrifices).
• According to the Mahabharata, Kamdhenu was born when Daksha Prajapati consumed Amrit, the elixir of life.
• In another version of the story, Kamdhenu is said to be the daughter of Sage Kashyap (one of the Saptarishis) and Krodhavas, the daughter of Brahma.
• Kamdhenu is believed to fulfill all desires and grant wishes, symbolizing abundance, prosperity, and the nurturing of life.
