These PlaneTags are made from NASA T-38N Talon N910NA, an aircraft that helped train astronauts and support human spaceflight operations.
Before launch, there is flight. This is where it happens.

Developed by Northrop Corporation, the T-38 Talon became the world’s first supersonic trainer and remains one of the most important aircraft in aviation training. Its performance and handling make it ideal for preparing pilots and astronauts for the demands of high-speed, high-stakes environments.
Built in 1965 as a T-38A (S/N 65-10352), this aircraft was transferred to NASA in 1978 during a pivotal era in human spaceflight. It was later upgraded to the T-38N configuration, receiving modern avionics and radar to extend its service life and capability.
Operating from Ellington Field near Johnson Space Center, N910NA played a vital role in astronaut training and transport missions between Houston and Cape Canaveral.
For astronauts, the T-38 is essential. It builds the reflexes, awareness, and discipline required for space missions. Long before launch, astronauts train in jets like this.

Each PlaneTag is made from authentic aircraft skin sourced from N910NA. After retirement, sections of the aircraft were preserved and transformed through MotoArt’s process. Each tag is cut, finished, and individually stamped, making every piece unique. No two are exactly alike.
N910NA represents the astronaut’s path to space. Its counterpart, NASA AT-38B N864NA, supported test pilots and research missions at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center. Together, these two aircraft represent both sides of NASA flight operations.
Pair them together to complete the collection.
Don’t miss these other aircraft from the NASA PlaneTags Collection.
From cockpit to cosmos, this aircraft helped prepare those who go beyond. Now, you can carry that history with you.

*Important Notice – Please Read Carefully
PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.
