Crafted from the skin of B-29A Superfortress serial number 44-61975, these PlaneTags tell the story of Jack’s Hack, a Cold War bomber that survived target duty, a tornado, and decades of storage. Now proudly displayed at the New England Air Museum, this aircraft’s legacy lives on in a limited run of PlaneTags. Proceeds support NEAM’s restoration and education efforts.
Completed in July 1945, B-29A Superfortress S/N 44-61975 never saw combat but played a unique role in Cold War operations with the 582nd Air Resupply Group. After being retired to Aberdeen Proving Ground, it was rescued by the Bradley Air Museum, now the New England Air Museum, and rebuilt using parts from another B-29. Restored as “Jack’s Hack,” it now proudly stands on display. Its story continues as B-29 PlaneTags that help support the museum’s ongoing mission.

*Important Notice – Please Read Carefully
PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag.
