R13 Prohaemorrhin from Dr. Reckeweg is a homeopathic formula designed to address hemorrhoids, itching, pain, and bleeding, along with related conditions such as anal fissures and anal eczema.

Key Ingredients

• Acidum nitricum: helps relieve stabbing sensations in the intestine and splinter-like pain, particularly during and after bowel movements.
• Aesculus: addresses dryness and burning of hemorrhoidal tissue, especially dark red prolapsing hemorrhoids, and reduces pain in the sacral region related to venous stasis.
• Collinsonia canadensis: reduces venous congestion in the pelvic area and helps address constipation and flatulence that accompany hemorrhoids.
• Graphites: helps with constipation, lumpy stools, flatulence, and anal eczema accompanied by itching.
• Hamamelis: reduces bleeding and addresses hemorrhoidal symptoms caused by varicose veins and venous issues.
• Kalium carbonicum: alleviates backaches, flatulence, and the burning sensation at the anal opening associated with hard stools.

Directions for Use

• Take 10 to 15 drops in water three times daily for regular maintenance.
• During acute pain episodes, take 10 to 15 drops four to six times daily at the start of treatment.
• Once symptoms improve completely, continue with 10 to 15 drops once or twice daily for an extended period.
• Regulate bowel movements at the same time, especially if constipation is present.
• Include foods that promote regular stools such as cooked fruits, linseed, green peas, rye bread, sauerkraut, and yogurt at breakfast and supper.
• Avoid constipating foods including white bread, cacao, and starches.

Remarks

• If liver complaints are also present, use R7 three times daily at 10 to 15 drops before meals, and take R13 at 10 to 15 drops twice daily after meals.
• For varicosity and venous stasis, use R42 in addition to or alternating with R13.
• If anemia has developed from bleeding hemorrhoids, add R31 to the treatment.
