Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Vishnu in the Dwapar Yuga, played the role of a mischievous child during his early years.

• As a child, **Krishna was very fond of makhan (butter), and he and his cowherd friends often stole butter from the pots of the Gopikas (cowherd girls).
• Krishna, showing his compassion, would often share the stolen butter with his friends, especially those who were poor and could not afford it.
• The Gopikas, seeing Krishna's playful antics, went to Yashoda, Krishna’s foster mother, to complain about his mischief.
• However, despite the complaints, the Gopikas considered themselves fortunate to witness Krishna’s divine leela (play) and the joy he brought to their lives.
