The TriMid is a good-wave step up that can also hold its own in average surf. It features a classic thruster outline, with a slightly aft widepoint, pulled in nose and squash tail. The rails are pretty full, but turned down, offering forgiveness and performance. The bottom contours are what set this board apart: a flat entry blends into a single concave that deepens throughout the whole board. However, the rear third contains a series of channels that within themselves contain a double concave/vee that offers a pivot point for rail-to-rail transitions. There is also a decent amount of rocker throughout, but especially in the nose.
