The Pedestrian Ship by Ryan Lovelace is a very technical high performance twin fin that won the 2024 Electric Acid Surfboard Test with Dave Rastovich. If features a narrowed fish outline, with a somewhat round, yet tight swallow tail. The rails are moderately turned down, which aids in performance without sacrificing volume. The bottom contours, however, are what really set this board apart. It has a unique and complex combination of a single wiggled channel and concaves to provide multiple feelings depending on where feet and weight are positioned. The large channel runs basically the entire length of the board, ending in a kink that gives release through turns. The channel contains curves that provide multiple rocker lines. Entry is subtle, fairly flat, but at midboard it flows into an exaggerated curve that supplies roll and looseness in the back foot. The contours within the channel could be considered single-double, however, paired with the channel and flat plane around the rails, it creates a feeling unlike any shortboard you've ridden before, guaranteed!
