Willamette Valley, Oregon. This is the third time in the four years of the Joker’s series of single barrel wines that a lot from the 115 clone in the City Block of Luminous Hills has made the cut (at most two barrels are selected each year). These select barrels are bottled by themselves when we find a barrel that is so complete by themselves, so profound that to blend with anything else would be to diminish them. This barrel of 115 matured in a once used Billon barrel from the Vosges forest. It is sumptuous, rich, dark and blue-fruited with savory cooking spices. Only 23 cases produced.
