Jetsun Milarepa (1052–1135 AD) was born in the village of Tsa, Tibet, into a prosperous family. However, after the untimely death of his father, Milarepa’s family faced hardship, leading him to seek ways to overcome his misfortune. In his youth, he was said to possess supernatural powers and sorcery skills, which he later used in destructive ways.
