DESCRIPTION

This lovely necklace will definitely attract plenty of attention! This piece of Jewelry is hand strung bead by bead by American artist Mandi Van Detti of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor beads. Mandi is known to make exquisite pieces of Southwest inspired jewelry that is sure to receive plenty of compliments! The necklace consists of: 2-mm and 5-mm silver round beads, 7-mm Tiger Eye round beads, 7-mm Onyx rondelle beads, 8-mm Jasper flat beads, 11-mm Turquoise flat beads, along with ONE magnificent Turquoise stone in the center. A gorgeous silver feather can be seen dangling at the end for a beautiful look! Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Tiger Eye stone contains a golden yellow reflection on a brown ground color. The most important source of tiger eye is South Africa, but it is also found in Australia, India, and California. It is believed to give courage, clear thinking, and protects from negativity.
