DENDRITIC SNOW AGATE

A striking variety of agate featuring intricate branching inclusions suspended within a soft white to cream chalcedony matrix. These tree-like formations, known as dendrites, are created by naturally occurring manganese and iron oxides that spread through microscopic fractures during the stone's formation. Material from Indonesia is especially admired for its strong contrast between the snowy background and delicate dendritic patterns, often resembling miniature winter landscapes captured within stone.
