R6 for Influenza by Dr. Reckeweg is used to help manage acute feverish inflammations and the symptoms that come with influenza and general infections. This remedy is designed for people experiencing fever, body pain, and inflammation of the respiratory and serous tissues.

Used for:

• Feverish catarrh of the upper air-passages, rhinopharyngitis, and influenza bronchitis
• Pneumonia and inflammation of the serous membranes including pleurisy, pericarditis, and peritonitis
• Acute feverish inflammations of fibrous tissues with dry and burning skin

Key Ingredients

• Baptisia: addresses typhic fever, stupor and lethargy, and irritation of the mucous membranes
• Bryonia: helps with catarrhal fever, headaches, piercing pains, and inflammation of the serous tissues
• Camphora: acts as an analeptic and calmative agent in the formula
• Causticum: addresses rawness of the mucosa, hollow cough, and weakness of bladder function
• Eucalyptus: reduces general agitation, accelerated breathing, weariness and limb rigidity, headaches, and fever
• Eupatorium perfoliatum: helps with fever and prostration, and catarrhal inflammation of upper air-passages with cough and mucosa rawness
• Ferrum phosphoricum: works as a remedy for fever and inflammation, particularly effective in upper respiratory inflammation and bronchopneumonia
• Gelsemium: addresses congestive headaches, sleeplessness, shivering and prostration
• Sabadilla: helps reduce sneezing reflex stimulation, burning cough reflex stimulation, and chest stitches

Directions for Use

• For acute illness with feverish tendency, take 10 drops in some water every 15 to 30 minutes
• Once fever begins to subside (usually after 1 to 2 days) and perspiration appears, take 10 to 15 drops every 1 to 2 hours
• After fever has completely gone, continue taking 10 drops in some water every 2 to 3 hours for several days
• For prevention during influenza epidemics, take 10 to 15 drops in some water 3 to 4 times daily

Remarks

• In acute infection with high fever and inflammation localised mainly in the mucosa of the head with redness, delirium, and conjunctivitis, use R1 instead
