• One day, while playing with his cowherd friends, Krishna’s ball fell into the river, prompting him to jump in.
• Kaliya wrapped himself around Krishna, but Krishna expanded his body and broke free.
• Krishna then leapt onto Kaliya’s hoods and danced upon them, subduing the serpent and expelling its deadly venom.
• Defeated and humbled, Kaliya surrendered to Krishna and agreed to leave the Yamuna, restoring the river's purity and protecting the villagers.
