Nike Considered was Nike’s first attempt at a sustainable product line, it featured a range of new models, reworked pre-existing models and a clothing line. The footwear consisted of minimal parts, vegetable dyed leathers, interlocking sole components, hemp lacing features and stitched soles. All of the materials were sourced withing a 200-mile radius of Nike’s Thailand factories. When these shoes were first shown to Michael Jordan he said from then on he wanted all Jordans to be made that way! Not long after the original Considered releases, Nike introduced two 'Long Ball' silhouettes; A laced iteration and a slip on. Entirely woven and with the looks of a deconstructed baseball, the Long Ball models were made without any glues or chemicals and replaced the rubber footbed with cork, making them completely biodegradable, thus very ahead of the time for such a huge sportswear company. Used condition with some great patina, heels have been re-stitched.
