From Barn Find to Bespoke Commission It began with two 40-year-old workbenches, full of character, discovered in a barn in France. We commissioned our trusted European craftsman to create four new tables inspired by them — reclaimed solid oak, the same chunky workbench proportions, the same honest construction. Each has an 11cm-thick live-edge top, hand-finished with pure beeswax to draw out the grain and natural warmth.

These tops have never been used for butchery. They are newly made from reclaimed oak, built to capture the rustic, timeworn beauty of the originals.

The base (natural oak version): is finished in natural oak — warm and tonally matched to the top, for a quiet, all-timber look that works equally as a dining table or a desk. 

These are original, characterful pieces, the kind that anchor a hotel reception, a designer's scheme, or a room in a home where nothing needs to match. The substantial workbench proportions make them as convincing as a statement desk or hallway console as at the table.
