A pair of mid-20th century teak armchairs designed by Antonín Šuman for TON, also known as Thonet. The chairs retain their original TON label to the underside and reflect the elegant, sculptural lines associated with Šuman’s work during this period.

The chairs have undergone historic restoration, including re-webbing and new upholstered cushions with foam inserts. They are in very good condition overall, with only minor wear commensurate with use to areas such as the backs and armrests. The only notable point is that the frames have been re-secured in the past using visible steel screws. Despite this, the chairs remain structurally sound and visually very attractive examples.

Each chair measures approximately 60 cm wide, 70 cm deep, 75 cm high to the back and 43 cm high to the seat.
