The Grades 5–6 After School Extended Exploration Book Kit offers a dynamic library of Alternate Books that expand on the Learning Beyond Paper After School Curriculum. Spanning advanced themes such as Tech Wizards, Rube Goldberg Races, My Future Self, Sound & Stage, World on a Plate, and Survivor Science, this collection challenges students to explore innovation, culture, and creativity through reading. Designed to complement project-based activities, each title fosters higher-level comprehension, academic vocabulary, and critical thinking while promoting collaboration and self-expression. Grounded in the science of reading, this kit ensures older students remain engaged, inspired, and connected to literacy as they investigate new skills, ideas, and possibilities for the future.

Each book kit is designed to support an average group size of approximately 25 students, ensuring meaningful access and engagement for all learners. For larger groups, additional kits are recommended to maintain an interactive and inclusive literacy experience.
