Comes as a Set of (6) Complete LC Jars

We have created a ready-to-use liquid culture kit that only needs to be seeded with live mycelium or spore syringes. This is a 1000 ml jar (regular mouth) that is filled with 350 ml of our proprietary liquid culture broth/media for fast colonization. The liquid culture jar is fully sealed and sterilized. We have not included an air filter as we have shown great success with the air filter omitted at this stage of growth. This also allows us to ship this product completely sealed and guaranteed sterile. There is a 13.2 mm self-healing injection port on the lid and a magnetic stir bar is included. 

Included: 1000 ml jars filled with 350 ml liquid culture broth, airtight lids w/ injection port, magnetic stir bar, alcohol wipe, sterile 10 ml syringe, gloves, syringe needle

To use, simply provide 3-5 ml of spore or mycelium syringe. Work in a sterile environment; whether still air box, flow hood or prepared room. Thoroughly clean the injection port with isopropyl alcohol and sterilize your hands and tools. Quickly set up your syringe with the provided needle and keep the needle cover on until just before injecting the jar. Quickly insert the needle into the injection port and dispense your live sample into the liquid culture. Smoothly remove the needle and replace the needle cover (if reusing this needle in the future, it MUST be sterilized with a flame). Finally, wipe the injection port with an alcohol wipe. Keep this culture in a shaded, room temperature spot that is at least 3 feet off the ground. Every couple of days, manually swirl the culture or use the included magnetic stir bar with the appropriate magnetic stir plate. This will help keep the mycelium free-floating and prevent the culture from forming a solid mass. Depending on the growing conditions and species, you should see growth in 3-10 days. Keep your eye out for cloudiness in the first few days. This tends to signal contamination of the culture (though not always). Once mature, a liquid culture can be refrigerated for at least 6 months.
