The Guest 2711A is a compact, fully automated dual-bank on-board battery charger from the ChargePRO series. Delivering a total of 10 Amps—distributed as 5 Amps per bank—this unit is the perfect solution for boats with a two-battery system, such as a dedicated starting battery and a single deep-cycle house battery, or a small 24V trolling motor system.
The 2711A features Guest’s advanced digital charging technology, utilizing a 5-stage algorithm (Analyze, Soft Start, Bulk, Absorption, and Maintain). This precision process ensures that each battery receives a tailored charge, which is essential for maximizing the life of your marine batteries. Its compact, lightweight design makes it one of the most versatile chargers for mounting in tight storage lockers or small engine compartments.
Dual-Bank Independent Charging: Provides 5 Amps per bank, allowing for the simultaneous charging and sensing of two 12V batteries.
100% Waterproof (IP67): Sealed in a rugged, shockproof, and waterproof housing, this charger is built to withstand the constant vibration and moisture of both fresh and saltwater environments.
Sense-Send Technology: Intelligently senses the power requirements of each battery and sends the appropriate amount of current to each bank independently.
Universal Battery Compatibility: Optimized for all 12V Flooded (Lead-Acid) and AGM batteries.
Energy Saver Mode: After fully charging the batteries, the unit enters a monitor mode that reduces power consumption to a minimum while keeping batteries topped off.
Built-In Safety: Comprehensive protection against reverse polarity, over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, and ignition hazards.
LED Status Indicators: Features easy-to-read LEDs for each bank to show charging status (Red), conditioning (Amber), and ready/maintaining (Green).
Model Number: 2711A
Total Output: 10 Amps (5A / 5A)
Banks: 2
DC System Voltage: 12V or 24V configurations
Input Voltage: 90–135V AC (50/60Hz)
Dimensions: 7.5" x 6.4" x 2.4"
Weight: 4.7 lbs
Cabling: Pre-wired 6' AC and DC cables with ring terminals and in-line fuses.
The 2711A is the ideal choice for small fishing boats, RIBs, and runabouts. While it provides a lower amperage than the high-performance 10-amp-per-bank models, it is incredibly efficient for "overnight" charging. It is specifically recommended for battery sizes up to Group 27; for larger Group 31 batteries that are heavily discharged daily, the higher-output 2720A may be preferred.
For 24V systems, simply connect one pair of leads to the first battery and the second pair to the second battery. You do not need to remove the series jumper wire connecting the two batteries. The charger’s independent banks will handle the charging of each 12V cell correctly.
