This modern Suzani fabric is made by local artisans in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The base is an apricot color, and has patterns such as pomegranate which symbolized abundant harvest and fertility. You can use it as a table center, on your sofa, etc.

The base material is cotton and the threads are silk.

Suzani is a traditional tribal fabric, hand-embroidered by women in Central Asia. It was usually made by a mother as a dowry when her daughter gets married and presented to the groom on the wedding day. The daughter is then supposed to finish the unfinished part. Suzani comes from a Persian word, which means needle.
