This is a vintage copper necklace by Bell Trading Post. This mid-century necklace features a large roadrunner pendant that measures over 2.5 inches. The roadrunner is the New Mexico state bird and often found in Native American and southwestern jewelry. The Bell Trading Post was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1935 by Jack Michelson and his wife Mildred. The Bell Trading Company was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1935. They sold Native American Indian jewelry at various tourist locations in the southwestern United States along route 66. The pendant is hanging on a twisted copper rope chain that is extra long so easily slips over your head.
