An Edwardian Toi et Moi diamond engagement ring. Translating from French to 'You and Me,' Toi et Moi rings are a traditionally romantic choice. Two principal round-cut diamonds, of matching colour and clarity are set vertically in the curving mount, secured in platinum claw-settings. The surrounding ten diamonds have a combined weight of 0.30 carats and are set in two rows, in platinum grain settings with open back-holing. The decadent arrangement of diamonds leads down to the simply carved shoulders that complete this ring. Tested 18ct yellow gold and platinum, circa 1915.
