Integrate your vessel’s engine and propulsion data into your marine electronics network with the Maretron J2K100 NMEA 2000® / J1939 Bridge (J2K100-01). This advanced interface bridges the J1939 CANbus used by many diesel and gasoline marine engines with the NMEA 2000® network, allowing critical engine parameters such as RPM, temperature, fuel rate, and alarms to be shared seamlessly with chartplotters, multifunction displays (MFDs), and monitoring systems.
Designed for professional marine installations, the J2K100-01 makes it easy to unlock rich diagnostic and performance data from engines, generators, and propulsion controllers that communicate over the J1939 standard. Once bridged to NMEA 2000®, this data becomes accessible to your marine network for display, logging, and alarm generation alongside navigation, tank, environmental, and other vessel systems.
Built by Maretron with rugged, waterproof connectors and marine-ready hardware, the J2K100 helps bring unified system visibility to complex engine setups, making it ideal for recreational vessels, commercial boats, and professional fleet applications.
Engine Data Translation: It converts complex J1939 engine signals into NMEA 2000 PGNs. This allows you to see RPM, engine hours, coolant temperature, and oil pressure on standard chartplotters or dedicated displays like the DSM570.
Fuel Management: The bridge passes critical fuel rate and fuel consumption data to the network, which is essential for calculating vessel range and fuel economy.
Fault Code Reporting: Beyond basic gauges, it can transmit engine diagnostic messages (DM1), helping you identify specific engine problems before they become critical failures.
Simplified Wiring: The unit is powered directly by the NMEA 2000 network and features a compact, waterproof design that can be mounted directly in the engine room.
The J2K100-01 includes the hardware needed to start the interface:
J2K100 Bridge Unit: The main converter module.
Mounting Hardware: Stainless steel screws for secure installation.
User Manual: Includes a list of supported PGNs and wiring pinouts for J1939.
Note: Depending on your engine brand, you may need a specific J1939 engine bypass cable to plug directly into your engine's diagnostic port.

The J2K100 is an essential tool for modernizing an older helm. Instead of relying on analog dials, you can use this bridge to move all your engine data onto a single digital screen. It is highly reliable and virtually maintenance-free once configured.
Pro Tip: If you have twin engines, you will typically need one J2K100 per engine to properly map the data as "Port" and "Starboard" on your network.
