A very nice Bogdan model 150 salmon reel, set up for RHW. 3 1/2" diameter with a 1 3/8" spool width. Used condition but very good condition overall. The rims have some minor rashing in the usual resting place, there is some brassing to the drag adjuster, and there a few minor scratches on the crankside plate (mostly around the screws) but the reel is very clean overall. The sideplates are black with a copper undertone to them, and the frame, spool, crank, foot, oil port cover, poacher's knob, and Bogdan nameplate are all aluminum silver. The reel has a catalog weight of 12 ounces, and was built to hold a #10 line with 175 yds of #20 backing. 2:1 multiplier retrieve and the vaunted Bogdan drag design. "150" is stamped into the side of the foot. It comes in the original suede Bogdan bag. A superb model here for smaller two-handed rods, one of the most versatile for salmon and steelhead anglers looking for the ultimate light spey setup.

This reel also comes from the collection of Dr. Earl Fleegler, a passionate angler a well-known collector in the classic angling community as well as a renowned hand surgeon. Dr. Fleegler was close friends with a number of angling luminaries including Tom Maxwell, Vince Marinaro, and Stan Bogdan, the latter of whom made several reels for him including this one. Dr Fleegler was also a frequent visitor to the Gaspe peninsula where this reel likely saw action!
