PC-280 is a two-component, rapid-setting, rapid-curing, solvent-free, flexible, high-performance, and high-solids polyurethane elastomeric coating that can be applied to suitably prepared interior or exterior concrete, plywood and metal surfaces.

 PC-280 is a two-component, Solvent-Free Elastomeric Base Membrane.  It is designed as a high-performance elastomeric base membrane used for interior and exterior applications on concrete, plywood, and metal surfaces. It serves as a foundational coating in waterproofing and traffic-bearing systems, especially in environments requiring flexibility and rapid setting at low temperatures.

 PC-280 is typically used as a base coat in waterproofing and traffic deck systems. When more than 48 hours pass between coats, the surface must be re-primed using Polyprime U. For enhanced surface performance, aggregates such as 16–20 mesh sand or 14–30 mesh rubber granules can be broadcast into the second wet coat. It is not UV stable and must be top-coated with a compatible UV-stable finish coat if exposed to sunlight.

·       Mixing Ratio: 4 parts Side-A to 1 part Side-B (by volume)

·       Pot Life / Gel Time: Begins to gel within 20–30 minutes

·       Curing Time: 2–4 hours between coats at 75°F and 50% RH; full cure time may vary depending on conditions

·       Application Method: Squeegee or notched trowel preferred; phenolic core roller may be used with caution to prevent bubbling

·       Thickness: Recommended dry film thickness per coat is 15 ± 1 mils

·       Coverage: 1 gallon covers approx. 100 square feet (0.41 l/m²)

·       Aggregate Option: Broadcast 20 lbs/100 sqft of sand or 10–20 lbs/100 sqft of rubber granules for slip resistance

·       Recoating Limit: Re-prime with Polyprime U if over 48 hours has passed between coats

·       Not UV stable – must be top-coated when used in exposed applications

·       Not suitable for split slabs, buried membranes, or slabs over unvented metal pans or non-structural lightweight concrete without prior approval

·       Storage temperature range: 60–95°F (15–35°C); 1-year shelf life in original unopened containers

·       Contains isocyanates and curative material; for professional use only

·       VOC content is very low: <0.04 lb/gal (<5 g/L), making it environmentally compliant

·       Do not dilute; surface must be dry, clean, and free from contaminants before application
