"Quinine" is based off of the Wild Quinine (kwai-nine) prairie plant that is native to Illinois. It has tiny little white flowers in a larger bunch. I zoomed in on one of these tiny flowers and they have a fun little shape. This is actually not the same plant that provides quinine in your tonic water. Please do not eat the leaves of this plant in the wild. Although plants can be healing when digested, this one provides healing through visual appreciation on your wall.
Printed on white thick cotton paper from one hand carved wood block with the reductive process. Light pink and maroon inks.
Block sourced from a sustainable forest in Hokkaido, Japan. Title, artist signature, edition number, and year of production appear on front of each print and on the back of each frame. Each print is unique as they must be printed one at a time, reapplying ink to the block. Slight variations will occur.
