Delano's SBC8 HE/S-4 bass pickups are quad-coil bass humbuckers that represent the leading edge in dedicated bass transducer technology: Unbelievably full and open sound throughout the entire spectrum with tight bottom, airy midrange and heavenly harmonics unrivalled by ANY other bass pickup. Finally your bass CAN sound like it should.
With the SBC8 HE/S-4, Delano wanted to integrate the option of an additional P-cross coil style string sensing pattern, with no hum, off course. But what you get is far more. When properly wired and positioned, you can get, for example, two different JB type® (60s or 70s) single coil voicings out of the very same SBC 8 HE/S-4 bridge pickup, on top of their dead-on humbucker sound.
Includes pickup screw tubing and black screws.
Sensing area: up to 120mm.
Shielded 4-conductor cable.

WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE DELANO SBC HE/S-4 (PARALLEL WIRING) SOAPBAR BASS PICKUP?
Nice punch and mids in these quad coils.Good dynamics and body, with extended highs. The balance is pretty great in this pickup while having great heft.
Please note that this demo was made with the 5 string version of the pickup. Delano is wiring all string versions of the quad coil soapbar to sound extremely similar.

WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE DELANO SBC HE/S-4 (SERIES WIRING) SOAPBAR BASS PICKUPS?
More punch is present in these quad coil bass pickups when wired in series compared to their dual coil counterparts. The mid range has more content and they feel quite dynamic.
This demo was made with the 5 string version of the pickup set. Delano engineers the 8 string version to sound as close to the same as possible

WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE DELANO SBC HE/S-4 (SPLIT COIL WIRING) SOAPBAR BASS PICKUPS?
Nice full mids without sacrificing top end. The highs sound similar to a single coil. Another nice wiring setting for these pickups.
The demo was done with the 5 string version of this pickup set, but Delano is engineering the pickups to sound similar across all string sizings
