Portuguese salt glaze lidded pot.  This generously sized storage pot is beautifully made and glazed with a warm chestnut tone.  A perfect piece for a shelf in your kitchen or home and can be used for storage.  It has a lovely stippled finish and typical decoration of its type.  A wonderfully time-worn and imperfect, rustic finish. 

Dimensions: height 24cm to top of lid, diameter at base 15.5cm.  Maker's mark stamped on base Campos Filhos Aveiro Pottery, Portugal  - scratched marked also to base - MR 3 (model/size number).  Believed to date from circa. 1930s.
