The backbone of each shackle is a 1/4-inch thick DOM bushing sleeve paired with 3/16-inch HRPO steel plate — a combination chosen not for cost savings, but for the ideal balance of rigidity, tensile strength, and long-term dimensional stability. This creates a boxed, reinforced structure that resists flex, elongation, and cracking even under repeated high-load cycles.

Where many aftermarket shackles reuse worn factory bushings or supply low-grade rubber replacements, Fenix equips each set with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings and precision-machined steel inner sleeves.
