Icebug's most popular offering, their Metro2 boot with the BUGrip outsole should be at the top of your list if you are looking for traction. The boot is very lightweight, with water-resistant suede uppers and a large splash-guard to keep you dry. A 100% recycled fleece lining keeps you cozy, and a wider construction allows room for thicker socks. An inside zipper helps get them on and off with ease.

The highlight of the boot is the aforementioned BUGrip rubber outsole, featuring 16 carbide steel studs built into it. These studs are very durable and dig into the ice to provide excellent grip where you would not necessarily expect it. The only precaution you would want to take is if entering places with carpet (for fear of ripping up the carpets with the studs) or hard flooring (where the studs may actually end up being slippery). The studs are supposed to retract slightly if walking on harder surfaces to preserve the life of the stud (this may be dependent on the weight you put into your step and the exact surface).
