One of the earth’s very first vegans, Iguanas range from Mexico to the Caribbean, Ecuador to Polynesia.  They are tree top foragers and excellent swimmers, and when threatened can take their five foot long bodies forty feet through the air to aquatic safety.  Although popular, Iguanas make poor pets, as most die within a year of captivity.  Iguana is associated with the gift of transcendental perception, the understanding of dreams and visions.  The Benevolent Dragon also exudes independence, intuition and patient increased perception.  Due to their attributes of stillness, awareness and concealment these dream walkers teach us to be flexible and adaptive to our environment, understanding and overcoming outside interferences in our lives.
