Tyler Warren is one of the great contemporary surfer/shapers of Southern California. He can shred and shape a wide variety of boards from shortboards to mid lengths to logs. The Transition model is heavily inspired by the Aussie logs of the late 1960s. It features a well rounded outline, with a wide point behind center and a slightly pulled in nose and tail. The rails are foiled nicely, creating an edge that quickly knifes through water. The bottom is completely rolled throughout, resulting in a hullish type of water displacement that relies on heavy rail engagement. The Transition also has minimal rocker, but does follow a slight continuous curve that naturally fits into the face of the wave. Take this board out in a lined up wave and let it fly through sections and whip through turns with ease!
