The LABSHIELD ECO is a 100% solids two-component polyaspartic floor coating system with zero VOC and no/minimal odor. The LABSHIELD ECO is used as a colored base coat and a clear topcoat using a common hardener. A version with a prolonged working time (+) and one providing fast curing (-) are available. The system provides a quick turnaround allowing the installation in a single day. The product displays excellent curing capability even at very low temperature levels. This product offers superior mechanical and chemical properties and is low maintenance. It also displays a superior aesthetic finish and excellent UV stability. Two- or three-coat systems can be considered. LABSHIELD ECO products are available in grey, tan and black. Special colors available on request. The LABFAST and LABSHIELD products have been designed for interior and exterior installations. Solvent based polyaspartic products have always been suitable for outdoor installations, but 100% solids products offer better performance.

LABSHIELD® ECO is a two-component (2A:1B) polyaspartic coating used in flake systems:

• Base Coat: LABSHIELD® ECO colored version
• Topcoat: LABSHIELD® ECO clear version (same hardener used)
• Optional Primers: LABPOX® MVB FAST (for moisture mitigation when concrete is not fully cured)
• Additives: LABTEC Vinyl Chips (recommended for decorative flake systems)
• Silica Sand: Grade #32 used for mechanical adhesion and sanding aid

• Installation Temperature Range: -30°C to 30°C (-22°F to 86°F); optimal between -10°C and 30°C
• Humidity Limit: Relative humidity should be below 80%
• Surface Preparation: CSP-2 or better mechanical profiling; moisture content below 4% (use Tramex® CME/CMExpert)

• UV Stability: Excellent; suitable for exterior use; clear version can protect epoxy from yellowing
• Chemical Resistance: High; impermeable and low maintenance
• Limitations: Not compatible with LABTEC Universal Pigment Pods; susceptible to staining from plasticizers in car tires
• Cleaning Precautions: Avoid power washing above 49°C (120°F); ideal cleaning water temperature is 32–43°C (90–110°F)
• Other Precautions: Ensure no condensation remains on concrete surface during application; xylene required for cleaning between recoats and promoting adhesion
• Notable Features: Non-yellowing, fast curing even at low temperatures, high abrasion resistance, very low viscosity for ease of application, and solvent-free
