A nice Bogdan Model 2 salmon reel, 3 3/4" diameter and set up for RHW. It weighs 13 ounces on my scale. Good used condition with some rim rash on the frame edge, some wear to the drag adjuster knob, and very minor wear to the front plate near the screws. This reel also has some line grooving on and around the bottom-most pillar (the last pillar before you return to the reel foot, when moving clockwise around the reel) which indicates that it must have been fished rings up for most of its time on the water. Fortunately these grooves won't have any impact when fished in the normal modern style. Champagne anodized frame and spool with black anodized sideplates. The crank handle is silver anodized as are the foot, poacher's knob, Bogdan nameplate, and the drag adjuster frame. The oil port cover is black anodized, which you sometimes see on the earlier models. "No. 2" is stamped on the side of the foot. The reel has the famous Bogdan double brake drag system and a 2:1 multiplying retrieve. The reel packs into a brown suede drawstring bag. A good size for mid-size spey rods.
