Exceptionally rare biography of one of the most significant pioneers of "Divine Healing," along with R. Kelso Carter, Phoebe Palmer, Maria Woodworth-Etter, etc.,
A minister with some training in medicine, at the time it was common for hospitals to turn away cases that were deemed incurable. To care for these, he began opening healing homes, staffed with nurses and persons of faith and prayer. Medicine, such as it was, was administered, along with "the prayer of faith." He had been deeply influenced by Dorothea Trudel's healing ministry in Germany, co-worker with Johann Christoff Blumhardt. Cullis was formative for A. B. Simpson, W. E. Boardman, and many others. A fascinating read.
[Charles Cullis] Daniels, W. H. Dr. Cullis and His Work. Twenty Years of Blessing in Answer to Prayer. Toronto. Willard Tract Repository. 1885. First Edition. 364pp.
A good + copy, bound in cloth, generally solid, with generally bright pages; the only kicker being that it lacks a general title page. Very scarce.
