Lovely 1920s Tenor Banjo from Ludwig. This is the Kemore model. Overall condition is excellent apart apart from some cosmetic scratches to the back of the resonator and the varnish on the neck is wearing. Great sounding banjo. 

The Ludwig Drum company has operated since 1909, but during the early 1920’s recognized a business opportunity and began offering banjos.

Ludwig built a fairly large number of banjos from 1921 to 1933, but as interest in the instrument faded, the company dropped the line completely and focused on their core business, drums.
