The history of bog oak is legendary. Thousands of years ago Ireland was covered in Oak trees. Many of those trees fell and slept under the oxygen-deprived peat bogs, preserving the wood, until being discovered many, many years later.

This beautiful oyster knife pays tribute to these incredible trees using 3,500-year-old Irish Bog Oak as a handle and wrapped around an incredibly stunning Damascus steel blade. 
This combination creates a truly functional work of art that can be passed on to the next generation. The O’Connor Woodworking medallion is also embedded in the knife handle.

Finished in Pure Tung Oil and Wax.
