Est. delivery in late autumn, 2026
"The wines are exquisite, and each of the various Marienburg parcels is different: they shimmer aromatically, are alluring and profound, intense yet streamlined. Truly one of the Mosel’s best."
Anne Krebiehl, Vinous
Clemens Busch Nonnengarten Riesling Trocken is a bone-dry Riesling from a steep, south-west-facing vineyard on the right bank of the Mosel at Pünderich. The name (“nuns’ garden”) refers to the historic use of the site - it once belonged to a convent. Nonnengarten is a VDP Erste Lage, the German equivalent of a “Premier Cru”.
The 2024 Mosel vintage was marked by a challenging season and low yields, but the quality is high. The wines are fresh and precise, with bright acidity and moderate alcohol.
Clemens and his wife Rita are a humble yet hugely respected duo, having built a cult following over the past 30 years for their incredibly precise, richly textured, and terroir-driven wines. Produced biodynamically and organically since 1984, they are a compelling choice for Riesling enthusiasts who appreciate a mineral-driven profile.
