The Polycoat PC-IM 129 System is a two-component, liquid-applied, asphalt-extended, aromatic polyurethane, waterproofing membrane system.

 Polycoat PC-IM 129 is a two-component, liquid-applied, asphalt-extended aromatic polyurethane membrane used primarily for waterproofing applications. It is ANSI/NSF-61 certified for contact with potable water and is especially suited for use in environments requiring containment, corrosion protection, and resistance to aqueous chemicals.

 This membrane system consists of a Side-A and Side-B premeasured kit which must be mechanically mixed. For submerged applications on concrete, it must be used with Polyprime 21 as a primer. For recoat applications beyond 8 hours, Polyprime U is recommended to ensure proper adhesion. If UV stability is desired and NSF-61 approval is not required, Pigmented Polyglaze 100 may be used as a topcoat.

 Recommended for containment areas, pond liners (with scrim), potable water storage, reservoirs (with scrim), roofing (with scrim), tank liners, and other waterproofing and corrosion control needs on substrates such as concrete, asphalt, metal, glass, wood, and steel.

 The product must be applied in two coats at 2 gallons per 100 square feet (50 sqft/gal per coat), equating to 28 dry mils per coat. Application should occur only when ambient and substrate temperatures are above 50°F (10°C) and at least 5°F (3°C) above the dew point. Recoating must occur within 8 hours; otherwise, the surface must be abraded and primed. Application tools can include squeegees, notched trowels, or phenolic resin rollers.

·       Pot Life: 18–20 minutes at 77°F (25°C)

·       Curing Time: Allow 24 hours before foot traffic at 75°F and 50% RH

·       Service Temperature Range: -60°F to 200°F (-51.1°C to 93.3°C)

·       UV Resistance: The base product is not UV-stable; for UV stability, topcoat with Pigmented Polyglaze 100

·       Thickness Limits: Each coat applied at ~28 mils dry (approximately 56 mils total dry film thickness)

·       Coverage Rate: 2 gal / 100 sqft

·       Humidity Considerations: Avoid application in wet weather or when rain is imminent. Ensure coating does not become wet within 4 hours post-application

·       Storage: 1-year shelf life in original containers at 60–95°F

·       Limitations: Not suitable for on-grade slabs, split slabs with buried membranes, sandwich slabs with insulation, pools, magnesite, or lightweight concrete without specific preparation
