While Ice Nine Kills’ debut album dropped a full 12 years before movie-minded slasherpiece The Silver Scream, bandleader Spencer Charnas made his love of film known right from the jump — take Last Chance’s American Psycho-referencing “Murders and Acquisitions” for proof. While the record is an aural curio of pop-punk and acoustic emo sounds compared to the band’s eventual journey through metallic-edged theatricore, it’s nevertheless an important part of INK’s mythos.
