A nice Charlton 8450C fly reel with a 7/8 spool. Set up for RHW but can be easily reversed to LHW. Excellent used condition with no significant issues except for one area of scuffing on the frame edge and a little minor cosmetic rubbing here and there. Backing is loaded on the spool but no line. Exceptional quality and the intelligent configurable design that these reels were known for. With the quick change of a spool you can alter both the weight of the reel and line with appropriate backing capacity, and swap in one of the 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 weight options. Carbon fibre disk drag system. Type III anodization for maximum saltwater protection. Oversized 5/8" smooth-riding aerospace bearing with a complete enclosure of all mechanical components to protect against contamination from the elements. The reel packs into a navy neoprene pouch and the original box with paperwork.
