A beautifully proportioned mid-century modern rosewood console hutch attributed to Bernard Pedersen — a refined piece in the best tradition of Danish Modern design, executed in the warm, richly grained rosewood that defined Scandinavian furniture making at its peak. 59" W × 12" D × 27" H.
Bernard Pedersen was a Danish furniture designer working in the mid-century period whose pieces combine the characteristic Danish Modern virtues — precise joinery, restrained form, and exceptional material quality — with a particular sensitivity to the console and case furniture format. Rosewood consoles attributed to Pedersen appear at Scandinavian design auctions and on 1stDibs, where the combination of named attribution, rosewood, and Danish Modern provenance consistently commands collector interest.
Rosewood — Dalbergia species — was the prestige wood of Scandinavian furniture design from the late 1950s through the early 1970s, prized for its dark, lustrous grain and warm reddish-brown tones. Its use in international trade was subsequently restricted under CITES, making vintage rosewood pieces increasingly valuable as a category. A 59-inch rosewood console in good condition represents an inherently scarce object.

A versatile and elegant piece — works beautifully as an entryway console, behind a sofa, or as a dining room sideboard. The hutch configuration adds display and storage functionality above the clean console line.
