Archive Garages' new 2" square tube is a significant upgrade, made from 50,000 psi steel for maximum durability. For this application, a square tube is a better option than a round one because its vertical surfaces are perfectly aligned with the main bending force, providing superior resistance and strength.

By adding a cross tube between the Hammer Hangers, we've dramatically increased rigidity, which reduces stress and flex on both the stock crossmember and the frame rails. Note: Installing a cross tube requires relocating the spare tire from its stock location.
