Denver's Grizzlies joined the Colorado State League in 1898, part of a wave of minor league clubs taking root across the growing West. Denver was booming beyond railroads and mining, and a local baseball team gave the city something to cheer for on summer evenings. Clubs like these planted the seeds of Colorado's lasting love for the game.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
