The development of their Goldilocks (GL) Tune dates back to 2019, when they began a study to understand how the various characters of handlebars and materials contribute to ride feel, and what exactly makes a great riding bar. The outcomes from this study still drive their handlebar design today. They confirmed that great ride feel is derived from just the right amount of vertical handlebar compliance. They pinpointed that compliance sweet spot based entirely on rider feedback, and ushered it in as their GL Tune. They meticulously engineered the external shape and wall thicknesses of their bars to achieve that tune, without the concessions of an oval design. After all, riders impart forces on bars in every plane — not just vertically. They made more width and rise options for their enduro-rated bars, to match the varying needs of riders, without having to trim their bars down much, if at all. From downcountry to downhill, the GL Tune delivers the ideal balance of comfort-inducing compliance and steering precision, paired with category-specific priorities.
