Krishna and Balarama, during their childhood, were requested by their friends to visit the Talavana forest, which had delicious-looking fruits. However, the cowherd boys were afraid to go due to the presence of the demon Dhenukasura, who lived in the forest in the form of a donkey.

• Despite the fear, Krishna and Balarama took their friends to the forest to fetch fruits. As they entered, they were attacked by Dhenukasura, who charged at them in the form of a donkey.
• Dhenukasura attacked Balarama with his legs, but Balarama easily overpowered him, grabbing the demon and swinging him away, ultimately killing Dhenukasura.
• After Dhenukasura’s defeat, his associates (other demons) attacked, but Krishna and Balarama together killed all the demons in the forest.
• With the demons defeated, the forest became safe again, and the cowherd boys were able to enjoy the fruits, marking another victory of Krishna and Balarama over evil forces.
