This wakizashi was hand-forged in the Japanese tradition. Its blade, measuring around 20.47 in (52 cm), displays patterns reminiscent of natural wood grain. The tsuba features a delicate traditional design. Both the handle and the scabbard are made from solid wood. Compared to a katana, the wakizashi offers a clear advantage: it is less imposing, with a shorter and lighter blade than a traditional katana. Samurai wore it tucked into the obi (belt) alongside their katana. Together, these two swords formed a daishō.
