Sunhwa Sot is built on the same conviction as every Sotbat pot: the best meals start with the right vessel.

Made from Sancheong Goryeongto, a clay sourced from the Sancheong region of Korea and prized for its natural durability and heat retention, this pot holds temperature evenly and longer than most. Its wider, lower profile makes it particularly well suited for sharing at the table — a natural centerpiece for a meal meant to be eaten together.

The dome-shaped lid, inspired by traditional Korean onggi, circulates steam back into the food during cooking, giving rice its signature glossy sheen and springy texture. Equally at home for stews, soups, steaming, and baking bread — one pot that does it all.

The Suhwa-mun pattern engraved on the lid draws from a symbolic design historically used on Korean pottery to represent abundance and regeneration, wave-like forms that invoke the continuous flow of life and a fruitful future. Sotbat carries this tradition forward in every pot they make.

Because each piece is shaped and finished by hand, no two are exactly alike. Minor variations in texture, color, and surface detail are not imperfections — they are the mark of something made by a person, not a machine. All sales of these ceramics are final.

Care: Before first use, soak in lukewarm water for 30 minutes or simmer soaked rice with water to seal the clay's micro-pores. Avoid sudden temperature changes. Heat over medium-low flame only, and never without liquid inside. If refrigerated, allow to return to room temperature before heating. Handwash with a soft sponge and mild detergent. Store completely dry. Small surface cracks over time are a natural characteristic of ceramic and do not affect performance.

관리법: 첫 사용 전 미지근한 물에 30분 담가두거나 물먹임을 해주세요. 급격한 온도 변화를 피하고, 중약불에서 천천히 가열하세요. 물 없는 상태에서 화기에 올리지 마세요. 손세척을 권장하며 식기세척기 사용은 피해주세요. 완전히 건조 후 보관하세요. 장기 사용 후 생기는 작은 균열은 자연스러운 현상이에요.
