Born in Port-au-Prince, Henry Roy relocated to France with his family at the age of three. His remarkable journey has taken him across geographical, cultural, and social boundaries, forging a distinctive artistic path. Over the past 30 years, Roy has cultivated a unique realm of "visual poetry," reflecting his multifaceted identity through photography.

His extensive career includes contributions to renowned magazines and exhibitions worldwide. In recent years, Roy has increasingly integrated text with his photography, crafting a deeply personal narrative influenced by animistic traditions.

Roy's sixth book, Ibiza Memories, presents a 30-year archive of photographs from his visits to Ibiza. Accompanied by a booklet of written reflections and an interview with photography critic Fabien Ribéry, the book intertwines family album, photographic essay, phantasmagoria, and self-portrait. It serves as a metaphor for exile and the evolving perspective of a Franco-Haitian artist.
