Goddess Ashwarooda emerged from Goddess Tripura Sundari, a form of Goddess Parvati, to confront the demon Bhandasura and restore cosmic order.

• Creation to Defeat Bhandasura – Bhandasura, a demon blessed to be killed by a woman not born from another woman’s womb, was defeated by Ashwarooda, created by Tripura Sundari from her noose (Pasha).
• Symbolism of the Dandam – Ashwarooda holds a golden rod called Dandam, which symbolizes control over the mind and senses, enabling her to subdue Bhandasura and his forces.
• Depiction and Mount – She is depicted as a four-armed goddess, holding the Dandam, a lotus, a noose, and riding a horse named Aprajita, symbolizing her strength, victory, and divine authority.
• Victory over Bhandasura – With her Dandam, Ashwarooda successfully defeats Bhandasura, representing the triumph of divine power over evil and restoring peace to the universe.
